One of the things that's most impressive about a horse is the light effect on a horse's coat, which is distinctly different than that of oiled muscles. Because of the oiled muscles of the figure, it lends the viewer to assume that there's no hair on the head, or at least the forehead... and that doesn't look right. The eyes are perfect, though, and the mane is very believable. Given the choice, I'd try to make the musculature adopt the horse's glossy sheen, but I'd have no idea how to accomplish that... Still, for a first attempt, this is a fine piece, as there's no obvious blending effects other than the ear edges. Thumbs up!
